Your vote won't change a thing but you can give your opinion on a lot of questions regarding the next Pope. Weirdly enough, voters are against the ordination of women but want celibacy for priesthood to be optional.

A lot of photos have the time written on a crummy cardboard sign, while other photos might have the current time in a more edible format, such as olives. "Yahoo Inc. and Adobe Systems Inc. have joined forces to put Web search features into Adobe's popular Acrobat Reader software. [...] Under the deal, Adobe will first introduce a cobranded Yahoo browser toolbar that users can choose to install on their computers when prompted to download an update of Acrobat Reader. The toolbar — an increasingly popular method of online search engines to stay constantly visible on a user's Internet browser — will feature links to Yahoo products and services as well as Adobe's Web-based subscription service that lets people convert documents into the Adobe PDF file format. Later, the companies said, the toolbar will add features such as the ability to quickly convert Web-based content into Adobe PDF files. Yahoo search will also be built into a future version of the Acrobat Reader, allowing users to search for more information from within the document without going through the extra steps of launching a Web browser. Bush relatives show support for Kerry (+)

"Six blood relatives of President Bush who support John F. Kerry's bid for the presidency have launched a website to publicize their sharp disagreements with Bush's policies. The site, www.bushrelativesforkerry.com, consists of personal statements from a group of decidedly liberal second cousins of the president, none of whom knows him personally. All are grandchildren of Mary Bush House, the sister of Prescott Bush, a former US senator from Connecticut and the father and grandfather of the two Bush presidents." [Via The Boston Globe]

Iraqi kidnappers "Googled" their Australian hostage (+)

Horrible and funny at the same time: "An Australian journalist kidnapped in Iraq was freed after his captors checked the popular internet search engine Google to confirm his identity. [...] "They Googled him and then went onto a web site - either his own or his book publisher's web site, I don't know which one - and saw that he was who he was, and that was instrumental in letting him go, I think, or swinging their decision," he told AP news agency." Do you think Microsoft sucks? (+)

Robert Scoble tells of his encounter, on a plane, with a guy that explained to him why he thought Microsoft - and Microsoft products - sucked. As he says: "I tell that story because for the past two weeks I've gotten quite a few people to tell me just how our products (or our company) suck. The thing is, there's a group of us at Microsoft who are tired of being told this and who are going to turn around the world's perception of the products we build. This group is growing in size." And he asks: "So, I'm looking for more people who think our products or processes or services suck. Tell us why."
