A sadistic - yet hilarious - way to have fun: torture your Sims (+)
I'd found that link a while back but had forgotten all about it until now.
Here's the thing: "I guess people actually play this game to make their little sims happy. I'll admit that i did that for awhile, but to be honest, it just got boring. So of course I reverted to my typical gaming pattern of torturing innocents to death. I start out by creating a random couple. I build them a little
room, seen below, with a door. One they've both walked in to check their "home" out, I get rid of the door. As you can see, the room contains the following: A ghetto chair, a fireplace, a clown painting... " The rest of the experiment is hilarious! 27 décembre 2004 | 06:20

Shoot JFK for $9,99 (+)
"Traffic Games said the objective [of JFK Reloaded] was for a player to fire three shots at Kennedy's motorcade from assassin Lee Harvey Oswald's digitally recreated sixth-floor perch in the Texas School Book Depository. Points are awarded or subtracted based on how accurately the shots match the official version of events as documented in by the Warren Commission, which investigated Kennedy's assassination. Shooting the image of Kennedy in the right spots in the right sequence adds to the score, while "errors" like shooting first lady Jacqueline Kennedy lead to deductions. Each shot can be replayed in slow motion, and the bullets can be tracked as they travel and pass through Kennedy's digitally recreated body. Players can choose to see blood by pressing a "blood effects" option." [via Reuters] 18 novembre 2004 | 05:38

The Bush game (+)
Bushgame is an anti-Bush videogame.
Bushgame combines humor, opinion, and fact to bring an entertaining and informative video game adventure to people everywhere. The use of this medium will hopefully reach many people who have not had the time or interest to read up on some of the appalling things that have taken place in our government and society over the past four years. For those of you who are paying attention, hopefully this game has helped to clarify some of the important things at stake in the upcoming elections. I realize that this game does not cover every issue, problem, and appalling action of the Bush administration. There are too many stories to report. Some issues ended up taking a back seat to others. Just know that this is just a silly game and please inform yourself for real and read books...and most importantly...please vote. 25 août 2004 | 05:57

The 39-year-old Fields, an ex-high school teacher, and 35-year-old Keim, owner of two construction firms, are selling the game though the internet and at book stores and novelty/toy shops.

We are not alone (+)
Wa saw the movie Contact last night for the second or third time. For those of you who haven't seen it (and you should), "Contact, based on the novel of the same name by Carl Sagan, is the story of a free thinking radio astronomer (Jodie Foster) who discovers an intelligent signal broadcast from deep space. She and her fellow scientists are able to decipher the Message and discover detailed instructions for building a mysterious Machine." Jodie Foster's performance is incredible, as usual. One of my favorite quotes from the movie: "If it's just us, it seems like an awful waste of space."
