Jail blog
Isabelle Hontebeyrie
An extraordinary blog : Jon's Jail Journal. It describes the daily life of an inmate in Arizona and the unbelievable conditions in which he is forces to live.
Here is an excerpt:
Due to the record number of sentenced inmates being held in the bloated jails, awaiting transfer to the prison’s processing centre, a group of us were moved to a super maximum unit (SMU) to ease the bottleneck. The journey from the ‘reception centre’ to the SMU took approximately 1 hour, during which time I admired the panoramic desert and mountain landscapes. The State’s most dangerous captives are housed at the SMU. These include some of the leaders of the Aryan Brotherhood, the Hells Angels and the Mexican Mafia. The guards here all wear protective vests and glasses. Wearing such garb has earned them the prison slang term ‘ninja turtles’. All inmates are strip searched and handcuffed before leaving their cells.
My first cellmate was a satanic priest called Lonely who had a pentagram tattooed on his forehead. Within 1 hour of my arrival he was ‘rolled up’ back to the county jail to face some additional charges. Melancholy Lonely generously gave me a 335 page Leonardo da Vinci biography. As I was completely bookless, the gesture was well received. [Thank you, once again, J-Walk]

Via Miss-Information.net. Jon's Jail Journal: The jail diary of an Orwellian Unperson Le récit poignant d'un prisonnier enfermé en Arizona. Plein d'humour et de dérision, on en oublie parfois qu'il écrit depuis derrière les barreaux....

I'm sure it's an awesome and interesting blog... unfortunately the Chinese government has seen fitt to block blogspot due to the number of anti-Chinese government blogs on it...
I can concentrate really hard and imagine what it's like... I guess...
Bad China... bad bad China!
