Digital cameras becoming a fashion statement
Isabelle Hontebeyrie
Olympus will release later this month its new Stylus Verve 4.0-megapixel digital cameras in 6 different colors.
The Verve is the smallest Olympuc camera to date (measuring 3.74" x 2.18" x 1.08", with a weight of 3.7 ounces).
There is a choice of start-up sounds, either a sports car engine, a chime or a electronic "Whew!" and the start-up image is customizable as well.
According to Olympus, the 1.8-inch display "is designed to deliver a 160 degree angle of viewing so it can be seen clearly from above, from the side, and from below by a group of people at once, or on your own. [...] The Stylus Verve HyperCrystal LCD is viewable even in bright sunlight at the beach or on the slopes."
The Verve will have a 2x optical zoom lens and 4x digital zoom. The SRP is $349.99 (U.S.).
