Seven-league boots
With seven-league boots through the Internet—when you take a stroll through the physical world in this wireless LAN footwear, you just might meet people who happen to be spending some time in a chatroom.
Their virtual conversations are made audible as spoken text coming out of the boots.
VSSTV – Very Slow Scan Television
A plotter-like device fills a sheet of bubble wrap with pigment in the three primary colors.
The individual bubbles are thus transformed into pixels that, within about 10 hours, constitute an extremely large-format television picture.
Also, check out Timeshift - The World in 25 Years, and "post a prediction for the next 25 years here, year by year. Or you may vote on the predictions already posted. Anyone can write. Anyone can vote."
