A sleeping nation is awaking up
Yesterday After I switched on the TV set after returning from office (working as software engineer, my client is a giant American bank, if I could take all the money that passes through the program developed by my team I would have been in place of Mr. Gates) I got the news that the hockey match between India and South Africa is underway. I changed the channel and watched the match. India eventually defeated African nation 4-2 after coming back from 2-0 goal deficit.
Moments later, after changing to news channel again, got the news that R.S.Rathore won a silver medal in double trap shooting event. That’s it! My country’s agonizing wait for 4 days comes to an end. Finally the Nation ‘INDIA’ in on the medal table.
I hope and strongly believe that this is the start, the much-needed outbreak. The motivation, the examples to a billion people about human ability. If other human being can why not we Indians? I hope few more medals we come our way by the end of this edition of Olympics games. And the tally will go on and on.
We Indians are awaking up! We are set to rule the IT world (at least the software part) we set to become the back office of the world come whatever in between. Now the world will see our might in sporting fields too. India is planning to bid for 2020 Olympic. It is necessary for our over all economic development its necessary for our country’s image from snake charmer, a decade ago, to back office call attendants, now a days to a global super power by 2020-2030.
Like you are seeing what China is doing in every aspect. Expect that from India in coming years. I predict China (1.5 billion) and India (1.1 billion) will hold the first 2 positions from 2020 onwards, leaving USA behind in 3rd place.
Till then you people enjoy the hard fought victories and we prepare our children silently for Olympics to come for tomorrow is ours.
