Bin Laden captured (again)?
Isabelle Hontebeyrie

Quoting Iran's state radio, The Associated Press announced that Bin Laden had been captured in Pakistan a long time ago, information denied by a Pakistan army spokesman.

IRNA, the Islamic Republic News Agency reported the information without, at the moment, adding any denial to the story.

According to IRNA, the state radio said:
"The capture of the al-Qaeda leader has been made sometime before, but (US President George W.) Bush is intending to announce it when the American presidential election is held."
Contacted by IRNA, an IRIB announcer at the Pusthtun service, confirmed the news, which he said, they had got from a 'very reliable source' in Peshawar, Pakistan.
'Osama bin Laden has been arrested a long time ago, but (US President George W.) Bush is intending to use it for propaganda maneuvering in the presidential election,' he said. Osama's head on a platter is believed to be a big boost to Bush's presidential chances, which are increasingly being eclipsed by Democratic presidential front-runner John Kerry. […] Visiting Kabul on Thursday, Rumsfeld said he believes Osama will be caught, but has no idea when
."

Conflicting reports about the al-Qaeda leader had surfaced February 22nd when Asian, Mid-Eastern and European media has announced the Pakistani Army has surrounded Bin Laden. The US was mum for a while before cautiously saying that a search was being conducted.

Why would Iran make such a statement? Could it be to divert attention from it's nuclear capability reports? Could it be that Iran wants to try, by any means, to discredit George W. Bush in hopes of raising questions, just as the election campaign is starting? Could it be that Pakistan's attitude has been, in the last weeks, more than friendly towards the US… maybe to make good on it's nuclear program?

Whatever the motives, one thing is sure, we can only expect more rumors on Iraq, war and Bin Laden to surface as election day gets near.

DEAR TOM [You have a LONG WAY TO GO]

TRUTH TELLER……

Yes, be a bit more mature please, and therefore, let me say this. MISS INFORMATION started with the Bush Administration (and LONG before) and this led to the current situation of speculation flying all over the place. The reason for this is simple: Bush and his “CRONIES” can not be trusted, and they proved again and again. The most recent development [perhaps it’s TRUE] is a result of the strong desire to capture Osama Bin Laden vs. making a mess and taking innocent lives in the country that, as it was established, had no ties to TERRORISM [and where the American government is ruling since 1990 at least, thus it would have to be an American TERROR].

Bush, as proven by historical facts, it’s a student of NEO-HITLER school with his rhetoric borrowed from communists. American’s government strong tie to communists and neo-fascists in Europe is an essential data since before WWII era. This is especially true about the Bush Family and Bush’s administration. Furthermore, it’s not a secret in Europe how the “Intelligence” or the “Intelligent Information” changing hands… through European common criminals {pick pockets, prostitutes, common thieves, and opportunists}, communist police and corrupted (and communist) American Police Force, risen to the Police State. They also have some other methods such as kidnappings, extortion plots, threats, etc to make some other people to work with them “more willingly.” So, be a bit more mature and don’t let the Bush’s information [or any other for that matter] reach you, as you are an elementary school’s level…brain stormer. Speaking about MATURITY….the polls showed that ~ 75% of Americans supported [BELIVED IN ????] Bush’s MENACE explanation and excuses to invade IRAQ. That’s not only immature but also CRIMINAL for Americans to release they violence and anger just at anybody while it should be DIRECTED ELEWHERE. You will be MATURE when you finally COMPREHEND this!

P.S.
Please see my URL for more MATURITY.

DON’T TAKE THAT ROUTE……

“We must be mindful of the many legitimate political problems around the world which give birth to terrorist organizations.” These many legitimate political problems around the world are continuously steered by the United States government and its reckless greed for natural resources of others that the United Sates calls “its own interest.” The World is tired and the American people are tired too. We all hear the lies, phony justification and criminal excuses of this administration. Technically speaking, they haven’t told a lie. Even Bush’s claim that America was attack because of being free is technically true but for different reasons. Yes, one can say America is the most hated country in the world because of its government’s unpunished “freedom” to kill and steal. And, yes technically this is true that this kind of “freedom” was attacked. Saddam Hussein and now Osama Bin Laden captures are the most recent examples of vindictiveness and criminal premeditation in which the current administration operates. It appears, as the National Convention will be the final call for retribution of this government to the American people and to the rest of the World.

Tom,
Thanks for your comment. The report of the news that Bin Laden might have been captured is accurate.

The Iranian radio reported it and The Associated Press mentionned the denial of the Pakistani army.

Yes, maybe the information is true... But without confirmation by reliable sources or hard evidence, it is quite difficult not to raise questions about the motives pertaining to these allegations.

As a journalist, one must always question what one hears, reads and even writes. As I question information on Ossama Bin Laden's capture, I also question President Bush's electoral strategy. Both in the same manner: with facts.

Could it be perhaps it is true?? Be more objective, for all we know, he might be caught or he is not caught, but as a journalist, be a bit more mature please and dont true to spread MISS INFORMATION.
